My story

[p]I am taking part in the 2019 halow250 charity bike. The halow project support young adults aged 16-35 with a learning disability in Surrey to live the life they choose as independently as possible. I will be cycling 250 miles, in 48 hours, across 2 countries on a challenging route from Putney to Guildford via France. Interestingly, I don't cycle other than a yearly triathlon so this could be challenging. The bike I am using has been untouched in my garage for the last 4 years, so attached is a pic of it going for a service![/p][p] 100% of the money I raise from the bike ride goes directly in the charity and will support halow’s young people in their journey to independence. halow is determined not to be ruled by labels, and the young people they work with have a wide range of diagnoses, medical needs and issues that affect their everyday lives.[/p][p]However, halow focuses on their talents, abilities and potential and continues to break down barriers every day and create opportunities for young people to live their life to the full.[/p][p]halow’s approach is to support them to find their voice and understand the choices available to them, to nurture and enable them to connect with and enjoy a full life in their community, our extensive and comprehensive range of services supported by the money raised from this ride allows us to achieve this.[/p][p]Please help me to support this fantastic cause and give as generously as you can. You can find out more about halow at www.halowproject.org.uk[/p][p]Gift Aid[/p][p]For every £1 that you raise, we can claim an extra 25 pence from the HMRC – so your £10 becomes £12.50 without any extra effort! If your sponsors are UK tax payers, please remind them to add gift Aid.[/p]
