[p]CAN YOU SPARE £1?[/p][p]In April 2019 our family of five (plus two cats) set off to volunteer our way around the world. After 18 months on the road, countless projects and experiences later, we had to reluctantly agree to head home to the UK as a result of Coronavirus. Not the kind of people to let a pandemic get the better of us we have decided to take on a mammoth challenge in the name of charity. On the 7th October 2021 we will be undertaking a 20 day trek to Base Camp of Mount Everest in an attempt to raise £1 000 000 for our 4 chosen charities. We will be trekking 230km from Jiri, to base camp, to Luhkla, where we will board a minute plane and take off from one of the most dangerous airports in the world! To say we are nervous would be a serious understatement. At 5380m above sea level, Base Camp is higher than both Mount Fuji and Mont Blanc and only 700m below the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Why are we doing this? The answer is simple- to continue exploring, to continue appreciating different places, people and cultures and to try and do our part to support charities who work tirelessly to make our world a better place for all.[/p][p]How can you support us? **BY DONATING JUST £1**[/p][p]That's right, just £1, we are aware that a large number of families don’t have spare cash lying around at the end of the month so for this reason we are asking anyone who would like to contribute, to share our campaign on your social networks and donate just £1. We’d like to show that with enough support even a small contribution can make a MASSIVE difference.[/p][p]In the run up to the Base Camp trip, and in order to make sure we are all fit and able to undertake it, we will be completing 11 UK based mini adventures.
