Running for Amelia-Rose

[p]I am aiming to run 150k in July to help Amelia-Rose to walk. [/p][p]This is quite a challenge for me. Two years ago I struggled to run to the end of my road, but with the support of some very special people I managed to complete the Cheltenham Half Marathon in September 2018. I'm now planning to run 150k during July to raise money for a really worthwhile cause.[/p][p]Amelia-Rose Walton, from Cheltenham, longs to be able to walk unaided. Amelia-Rose has been diagnosed with Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) - a degenerative disease that means her limited use of her legs will only get more painful, and mean she is more likely to be consigned to a wheelchair for life. [/p][p]Walking unaided is not an impossible dream, but the operation that Amelia-Rose needs is not available on the NHS. She needs to go to the USA.[/p][p]Mum Tanya and Dad Ben have been fundraising for Amelia-Rose for more than two years, and have managed to raise the £36,000 needed for her operation which is scheduled for the 29th of August 2019.[/p][p]However, this is not the end of the funds needed. Amelia-Rose will need ongoing physiotherapy when she comes home and the amount of physio she will require is not available on the NHS. [/p][p]So, this is where you come in!
