Katie's Volunteering Year to India 2020-21

[p]Project Trust is a non-profit organisation that sends school leavers, age 17-19, to volunteer in overseas countries. Every year they select send volunteers all over the world to a variety of different projects. [/p][p]This past July, I went on selection week to the isle of Coll, and then a couple of weeks ago I found out that I had been selected to go to India for a year! Next august I will be setting off on my 12 month adventure to a developing part of India. The project I have been chosen for is Social Care with Primary School Teaching. This means that I will be working with young children who have disabilities, teaching them a wide variety subjects from English, to Maths, to History. [/p][p]It's an amazing opportunity and I am so grateful to have been given the chance to take part in such a life-changing experience. Not only will this be a year for personal development, it will be a year to help contribute to child's education. To make a difference to somebody that may not have been given the head start in life that we have all been fortunate enough to have had.[/p][p]Before July next year, I need to raise £6200, which is a lot of money. I am currently organising several events as well as planning a letter to send to charitable trusts to ask for some donations. [/p][p]However I can't raise this money by myself. I would be so grateful if you would take a few minutes of your time to contribute to this cause.
