My story

[p]Hello, I'm Keane Heslop, a 17-year-old from East Yorkshire currently studying Maths, Drama and Product Design at my Sixth Form College.[/p][p]August 2019 was when my adventure with Project Trust began when I travelled to the Hebridean Scottish Isle of Coll for a Selection Course. I then received a letter saying I had been selected to travel to Ghana![/p][p]In Ghana, I will be living in a rural community in the Volta Region of Ghana teaching in a school for a whole year.[/p][p]Project Trust is a charity that has sent hundreds of school leavers to countries for a gap year for the last 50 years. The volunteers engage in communities and cultures, as well as teaching, caring, or being role models to a community. For my project, I will have the opportunity to teach English, Maths and a range of other subjects to school children. I have a passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge, as well as learning about different ways of life. This is an amazing opportunity for me to learn about different cultures, develop skills, and help another community over 5000 miles away from my hometown.[/p][p]For this journey to be possible, I have been asked to raise £6200, so will be putting on many fundraising events throughout the next year.[/p][p]The £6200 raised is used to pay for flights, insurance costs, accommodation, as well as training back in the UK.[/p][p]Any donations would be greatly accepted to help me embark on this once in a lifetime adventure![/p][p]Thanks,[/p][p]Keane 🙂🇬🇭[/p]
