Team story
[p]On 18th December 2018, my daughter Kelly took her own life. She started to suffer from anxiety and depression in March that year, but things really started to spiral downwards for her from around July time. For a girl that was known for her happy fo lucky attitude, someone that would help anyone ay any time and lived life to the full, to deteriorate so quickly, it was not only heartbreaking, but completely devastating. It has ripped out my heart and soul and left a huge void that will never ever be filled. [/p][p]Anger, grief, sorrow, bewilderment and above all else guilt are now all huge factors in my life. Negative factors that I can let eat me up, or I can use them as fuel to give me the strength and resolve to get up every morning and try and make a difference. I don't want people to feel sorry for me, or my family, I want them to read Kelly's story, understand it and more importantly learn from it. [/p][p]On 16th August 2020, 12 riders, almost all of whom knew Kelly personally, will be cycling the extremely difficult route from John O'Groats to Lands End. 13 days of intense pain, stress and strain, to raise much needed funds for such worthy causes, as well as highlighting Kelly's story.
