My story

[p] Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I thought it would be a good idea to attach the christmas campagine we did for the trust, when I phoned and asked if they had this I couldn't believe it was written 2006!![/p][p]Doesn't grace look sweet :) [/p][p]Amazing Grace[/p][span=font-family: ArialMT; font-size: x-small;][lt]span style="font-family: ArialMT; font-size: x-small;"[gt][p]Last Christmas was very nearly Grace’s last. At just eighteen months old Grace suffered an attack of pneumococcal meningitis a few days after Christmas and had to be rushed into hospital for emergency treatment.[/p][p] She survived but meningitis has left her completely deaf.[/p][p]The past year hasn’t been an easy one for Grace and her family. The three weeks when Grace was in hospital were the worst of their lives and since then they have had to adjust to the fact that Grace can’t hear any more.[/p][p]Every year the Meningitis Trust help hundreds of families like Grace’s who are struggling to cope after meningitis has devastated their lives.[/p][/span][lt]/span[gt][p]How time flies and how far Grace has come![/p][p]Sooo 13.1 miles in 3 hours and under no problem... :0)[/p][p]And the reason behind it?? [/p][p]without people like you sponsoring people like me well there would be no Trust, no helpline, no laptops to help children learn and access the internet and the school curriculum, the equipment the adoptions to people's houses, the counselling services they provide how would you cope losing an arm or leg, finger or toes? And this happens to adults as well as children![/p][p]No antibiotics to help us survive instead  people dying.... nor would have the vaccinations that our children have to protect them from this horrid illness.....[/p][p]Dig deep people we all benefit in one way or another and if I can run (like a demented chicken maybe) you can put a little bit of money into the fund that protects our friends and families :)[/p][p]Thanks in advance[/p][p]Kirstine xx[/p][p][/p]
