My story

[p][br][/p][p]Hi all![/p][p]As you may have guessed, this April I’ll be running in the London Marathon for Villiers Park. [/p][p]For those of you who haven’t heard of it before, Villiers Park Educational Trust is a social mobility charity - meaning they help young people from less advantaged backgrounds to receive equal opportunities and reach their potentials. [/p][p]To do this, they run a ‘scholars programme’; which offers a group of students from across the country the chance to receive support from the programme during their studies. Each student is assigned a mentor, who will help them with everything from revision, to interview practice. Villiers also run residential courses on a variety of subjects at their campus in Foxton, and scholars are able to attend one of these.[/p][p]The reason I want to run the marathon for VP is because the organisation has actually done a lot for me. I was fortunate enough to be offered a place on the scholars programme two years ago, and am planning on studying Veterinary Medicine at university next year. I know for a fact I would’ve struggled to get to where I am today without support from the programme - so in case you’re skeptical about whether it all actually works, I can assure you it does! [/p][p]Any and all donations and social media shares are massively appreciated by me and everyone at Villiers Park, because they really do great work. If you wanted to read any more into VP:[/p][p]https://www.villierspark.org.uk/our-story[/p][p]Thanks guys, [/p][p]Kyle x[/p]
