[/span][/b][lt]/span[gt] [/p][lt]p style="background: white; text-align: justify;"[gt][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]As the UK’s fifth largest mutual, Leeds Building Society has a national presence and its branches and processing centres play an important role in their local communities. The mutual has therefore developed its charity and community support to provide a sustainable contribution both to small local causes and large national charities.[/span] [/p][lt]p style="background: white; text-align: justify;"[gt][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride is an integral part of the annual Colleague Charity Group fundraising activities at Leeds Building Society. We are delighted to have signed up 25 riders for this year’s event, maintaining the GYBR’s status as one of our best supported colleague charity event.[/span] [/p][lt]p style="background: white; text-align: justify;"[gt][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]With so many people taking part this year we want to raise over £3,000 for Hollybank Trust. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 the Society received recognition from Great Yorkshire Bike Ride for the money raised by its riders.[/span] [/p][p][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]Hollybank Trust is a charity with close connections to colleagues at the Society, and is one of the charities our colleagues support throughout the year.[/span] [/p][lt]p style="background: white; text-align: justify;"[gt][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]Hollybank Trust exists to look after adults and children, supporting profound and multiple learning disabilities, whilst promoting independence, dignity and celebrating achievement in a safe and supported environment. Hollybank runs a school, residential homes and adult daytime activities programme to help people reach their full potential.[/span] [/p][lt]p style="background: white; text-align: justify;"[gt][span=font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN]Kevin Mowles, Head of Business Support at Leeds Building Society, said: “The atmosphere at Hollybank is always happy and cheerful, the enthusiasm and compassion the carers show each child is overwhelming. This ride takes in some of Yorkshire best countryside through the Howardian Hills and the Yorkshire Wolds to the coast. Every year 2,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities take on the challenge of this great Yorkshire event.”[/span] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p]
