My story

[p]On 4th February 2014 our lives changed forever when our beautiful, identical triplet boys were delivered nearly 3 months early at Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge. The next seven weeks were the most stressful and heartbreaking weeks of our lives. Our two bigger boys Tom and Ted were moved first to the Lister Hospital and then to the West Suffolk hospital as they slowly got bigger and stronger. Our littlest boy Ralphy was incredibly poorly and remained in the NICU in Cambridge where he underwent two operations. Despite the amazing efforts of all the medical staff, Ralphy died in our arms 7 weeks to the day after being born. [/p][p]During this time we were supported by the amazing charity The Sick Children’s Trust. Because of them we were able to live in Chesnut House - just a lift ride away from Ralphy in the NICU. Having a base so close to Ralphy when he was so poorly and when we were having to travel to be with Tom and Ted who were in a different hospital was invaluable. I just do not know how we would have got through those weeks without Chesnut House and their amazing staff. I do not have the words to say what a difference the Sick Children’s Trust made to our lives during that time.[/p][p]It costs the Sick Children’s Trust £30 to support a family for one night and so Andrew and I are taking on the 100 mile challenge of Ride London in the hope of raising £1470 - £30 pounds for every night that Ralphy was in hospital. [/p][p]We are incredibly grateful for all support and sponsorship and hope we can do you all proud on race day. ????????????????????
