5k run

[p]Hi,[/p][p]I (Lauren Roberts) would like to introduce myself, I am 17 years old and I will be running 5k to raise money and awareness for a charity called Cardiac Risk In Young. I would like to ask for your help.[/p][p]The year before last, my cousin Ben died from an undiagnosed heart condition, this sudden and unexpected tragedy is hard to come to terms with. He was such an active teenager who had only just celebrated his 15th birthday the week before.[/p][p]The time leading up to his death was no different than any other, he had enjoyed the previous day at a local mountain biking centre with his friends and on the day itself, he had been working on the local farm which was where he was in his element. Even at that age he had a real passion for farming and knew exactly what he wanted to do when he left school. He always had a smile on his face and loved making people laugh.[/p][p]We would like to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young to fund an annual local screening program. Each week in the UK 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. If we can save just one life and save another family from going through what we are having to endure, it would mean a lot to us.[/p][p]Many thanks for visiting my page.[/p][p]Lauren[/p]
