My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2021 London Legal Walk. We are taking on 10k on Monday 18 October in support of frontline free legal advice services.[/p][p]Our team is: Alexa Sage, Beth Hamill, Beth Rowley, Chris Baker, Clare Jarratt, Clive Russell, Cristina Mancuso, Emily Duncan, Emily Weidner, Emma Lucas, Fay Delavault, Harriet Mitchell, Hazel Blake, Janita Patel, Jenny McLaren, Joanne Cox, Judith Scott, Kate Buckland, Katharine Bollon, Kerry Alexander, Lubna Shuja, Mandy Denton, Naomi Jeffreys, Paola Uccellari, Phil Norton, Richard Hopkins, Sarah Clegg, Sarah Smith, Simon Thomson, Steve Jacobs, Tracey Burgess, Terri Woollett, Amber Uba, Chantelle Kirkman, Chloe Cooper, Nandi O, Franceska Gudiens, Jaymi Thakrar, Ben Hammond, Bijal Gadhia, Hannah Mackay, Jay Mistry, Christa Biervliet[/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London.[/p][p]Two-thirds of the UK population don’t know how to get legal advice and 14 million people who live in poverty can’t afford to pay for it. The London Legal Walk raises vital funds to ensure access to justice for some of our communities’ most poor and vulnerable people.[/p][p]Your support is needed now more than ever with the long-term challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Reduced funding in the charity sector means advice agencies are doing all they can to meet rising need despite a drastically restricted income. [/p][p]The event supports over 100 legal advice agencies in London and the South East. We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly, fighting discrimination and exploitation.[/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.[/p][p]Many thanks for your support.[/p]
