My story

[p]The Rowing Marine[/p][p]In January 2019 Lee (Frank) Spencer will Row solo and unsupported 3,800 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, starting from Portugal and ending in French Guiana , raising money for the Royal Marines Charity and the Endeavour Fund (part of the Royal Foundation).[/p][p]Lee will be the worlds first physically disabled person to row solo and unsupported from continental Europe to continental America - a Guinness World Record, proving there is life beyond injury. During this feat of extraordinary physical and mental endurance, Lee will battle 30 foot waves, sleep depravation, extreme fatigue, fear and solitude. Lee will attempt to be beat the current able bodied record of 96 days, 12 hours and 45 minutes, gaining another Guinness World Record and changing preconceptions surrounding disability.[/p]

This donation is made on behalf of our much loved mum Judy who passed away in March this year. During her illness she was an avid follower of Lee's progress when nothing else would interest her, she would always brighten up at the mention of Lee.
