My story

[p]I'm riding The Duchenne Dash (London to Paris in 24 hours) to help save the life of the thousands of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.[/p][p]This is the seventh Duchenne Dash - and takes place on Sat 7th and Sun 8th June. I've ridden every one of the previous six.[/p][p]This year, for the first time, I'm doing the 300km ride ON A TANDEM and I'm delighted that Alex Thomson – my former Channel 4 News colleague – has agreed to join me.[/p][p]Duchenne UK is a lean, ambitious and highly focused charity with a clear vision: to fund and accelerate treatments and a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and to beat this disease in a decade – to "End Duchenne in Ten". The charity is run by parents, committed to saving this generation of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.[/p][p]Duchenne UK was set up by Emily Crossley – with whom I also used to work with at Channel 4 News –whose son Eli has DMD.[/p][p]I'm proud to be helping a charity which, since it was formed in 2013, has raised and spent £6.5m on research and is committed to providing an additional £3.5m of research funding.[/p][p]I'd be delighted if you could make a contribution – and please feel free to be rude about me on the Virgin giving website !![/p][p]For more information, please watch this video: https://youtu.be/e2uKGoWO0K4[/p][p][br][/p]
