[p]My friend, Charlotte who is on a placement at Westmeria Counselling asked if I would be happy to run a live yoga class to raise funds for them. Delighted to do so. As a trainee counsellor myself I know how important these services are. There are 100 places on this yoga class - please donate what you can. Westmeria Counselling Services was established in 2003 and provides a safe, confidential space to individuals experiencing difficulties in resolving life's issues. Now, more than ever, supporting people with their mental health is of paramount importance, and we are proud to be serving the local community. We have helped over 4000 people since starting out, and need your support to continue with our valuable work. As a small, primarily voluntary organisation, we rely on the generosity of our supporters, donations from clients and fundraising events to keep offering counselling to those who otherwise may not be able to access sessions. I've sequenced a gorgeous, yoga flow for you![/p][p]It's so nice to be able to connect with others and build a community at the moment. Even if you've never tried yoga before, why not join the class and step outside your comfort zone?[/p][p]Focussing on opening the heart and stretching out any upper body kinks, we'll wiggle through it all and connect with the breath.[/p][p]There's never any pressure to perform. Just connect to the breath and arrive into your body. It'll be a nice stretchy class that's fine for beginners. If you're a little more experienced, I'll give you some options to play with![/p][p]This will be a live-streamed class and once we've said hello at the start, I'll ask you to mute your tablet, phone or computer, so the picture stays on me while I teach.[/p][p]You will need a mat, towel or carpet to practise. If you haven't got any blocks at home, a chunky book will do!
