Team story

[p]We're sick of it. Sick of the constant aching in our legs. Sick of the rush of January air as we open the door every morning in our running kit. Sick of eating nothing but spirulina and cordyceps mushrooms. [/p][p]We still want the rewards - the glory, the medals, the crowds of screaming teenagers. But we want them without all the effort. [/p][p]We want to wow the world with our prowess whilst sitting on our bums and munching Pringles. This year, we're cheating. [/p][p] [/p][p]Mark has already begun scouting Brighton for convenient places to 'lose his way' and 'accidentally' cut large sections of the course. [/p][p]He's been hiding disguises in bushes to prevent his opponents from spotting the similarities between the man clutching his ankle in agony several miles back and the person popping out of the portaloo to rejoin the race. [/p][p]And he's been bribing the London race officials to look the other way as he speeds up and down the Thames in a motorboat. [/p][p] [/p][p]Lizanne, on the other hand, will be running as normal but her times may be slightly faster than last year's as Mark will be wearing her timing chip. [/p][p] [/p][p]We may be bad people but we are 'running' for a good course. LOOK is an award winning charity that supports visually impaired children and their families. Through mentoring, events, and support groups it helps those children to learn confidence, resilience, and independence. Please help them to continue this noble work by sponsoring us. [/p][p] [/p]
