Team story

[p]Hi, thank you for visiting our page. [/p][p]We are pleased to be organising a charity walking challenge this year over the bank holiday weekend starting on Friday 29 April through to Monday 2 May in aid of the Glebe House Project to raise funds ahead of our Give and Gain Day activities with them in May.[/p][p]Glebe House Project is a small Loughborough based charity that supports adults and children with special needs.  It provides a wide range of day services, which are all aimed at improving the lives of the people they support and the lives of those who support them.[/p][p]It is a charity that is highly valued by my family as my eldest son Thomas attends their childrens service.  This is important for him and all other children and adults that attend the Glebe House Project, as it gives them a degree of independence from the family environment as well as offering some respite for their respective families.[/p][p]We are following the National Forest Way, which is 75 miles long, starting at the National Memorial Arboretum and finishing at Beacon Hill near Loughborough.  It showcases the National Forest across Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire over 12 stages of similar distances.  [/p][p]75 miles over 4 days is the challenge for our team, I plan to lead the team by walking the whole 75 miles, along with other members of our team joining me on separate days. [/p][p]We do appreciate that you will receive regular requests for charitable donations and sponsorship over the course of the year, but we would be extremely grateful for your support.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
