My story

[p][img][/img]Another year is seeming to roll by and the challenges we valiantly set in February are approaching at a rate that is starting to make the knees go weak and body shudder. The Lovely Ladies Laughter Club is entering its third year of swimming challenges following on from Bantham Swoosh and the ‘All out swim’ in Cheltenham Lido. It appears we have taken the plunge with wild enthusiasm. [/p][p]This year the gauntlet of the ‘Tenfoot’ swim was thrown down, yep – 5km sea swim recently described as the most gruelling of welsh swims and fear is rising! This I hasten to add was mentioned in the cooler planning months because it appeared more community focused and less racey……[/p][p] As a trio we continue to support each other and beyond as friends and family face the trials of fighting cancer. This will be our third year of raising funds for Macmillan. We appreciate that there are many good causes needing help out there and that times remain tight. We appreciate any donation made to aid us on our way, spread the care and bring a reassuring smile to those that matter.[/p][p]Key data:[/p][p]Tenby to Saundersfoot by sea via Monkton Point (healthcheck!!) - 5KM (South Wales)[/p][p]Saturday 21st July (got to up the training laps!!)[/p][p]Support crew - family and friends near and far[/p][p]Tidal Direction - preferably with us![/p][p]Wind direction - on our backs fingers crossed XXXX XXXX[/p][p]Sea experience - Collecting the 'Clevedon beard' in the sea pool in February, swimming on the spot (backwards) at Llanwit major equates to natural hydrotherapy……... forthcoming pier pole slalom.[/p][p][br][/p]
