My story

[p]In the summer of 2019, I will be going to Luanda in Kenya for three weeks along with other students and staff from my school where we will be working with school children there and the local community. We aim to raise a minimum of £1600 each in order to cover flights and improving equipment and resources in the schools that we will visit. Whilst there, we will be engaging with children of all different ages from a variety of different backgrounds and the five main projects that we will work on are Ebukuya School for the hearing impaired, Ebukuya primary school, Ebukhuliti primary school, St Bakhitas secondary school for girls and St Josephs rehabilitation for street children.[/p][p]In the last five years we have raised over £60,000 for these five projects which has been spent on equipment and resources such as laptops, books and stationary which has enhanced the education that these schools are able to provide. When we go to Luanda we will also bring resources with us such as sanitary products, games and sporting equipment for all of the children to make full use of. When there, we will provide teaching for the students through pre-prepared lessons on subjects not usually covered such as Geography, Music, Drama and History and we will ensure to make these lessons fun and engaging.[/p][p]This year, we aim to raise more money than ever in order to really make a difference through our visit and your donations will really help to make this happen![/p][p]Thank you :)[/p]
