My story

[p]First of all thank you so much for taking the time to look at my fund-raising page.[/p][p]Last year I had the pleasure of raising £360 for Mind whilst running for the Caerphilly 10k, and it was a run that took place in the middle of a heatwave that made it a really difficult challenge but a very satisfying one given the money raised by lots of wonderful people. This year though I want to up the ante even more - to give myself an even bigger challenge and to raise even more money. I've got a few half marathon runs under my belt but this is the big one - my first marathon at the ABP Newport Wales Marathon on April 29th 2018.[/p][p]As this is my first full marathon that I'm running, I wanted to try and raise money for a cause I very much believe in and want to support as much as I can in Mind. There's still a great deal that can be done to boost mental health services and every little bit that can help will make a world of difference. So my target for this run is to raise £500. All the money raised for this will go to Newport Mind, with this money supporting mental health services for Mind within the Newport area. I've lived in Newport all my life and want to do something that will give back locally, and with the support that Newport Mind give to those affected by mental health illnesses and problems then it is vital that we support them as much as we can.[/p][p]Thank you for reading my story, and I hope that you can donate even a small amount towards something that can help so many people.[/p]
