Team story

[p]Thank you for anyone who is taking the time to view this page and share. This challenge has been set to help raise awareness around The Docbike charity and the amazing work they do in the loving memory of Luke Van De Sande who sadly lost his life on the 27th August 2019 following a tragic motorbike accident. We wanted to be able to share this with you all and some of the most important people in his life. He was and will always be that little ray of sunshine that no one will ever forget. Luke you may not be here now but you will never be forgotten, this is for you and we will do you proud.[/p][p][br][/p][p]So the challenge is to walk 100,000 steps in 24hrs, that right 100,000 steps. Our aim is to leaves Luke's mum Carols address in Parkhall then travel to Congleton and back in less than 24hrs hopefully. It's a massive challenge but we have a great team and we will do our best to achieve this. To confirm this is 100,000 steps per person completing this challenge. If you can help by donating or supporting us in the journey we will look forward to seeing you on the way. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Please see below some beautiful messages from Luke's closest family & friends[/p][p]Carol Close - Luke's Mum[/p][p]Life has it's characters and Luke was one of them, funny, mischievous, caring and loving. He touched so many hearts and lives. Some of Luke's friend's and his sister Katie and wife Abbie have decided to do a challenge in his memory. On September 28th they are going to be walking 100,000 steps in 24hours to help raise money and awareness for Docbike Staffs #Lukeslegacy. Please support team Luke's Blue Legacy by donating anything you can to spur them on their way!!! Thank you Carol & Family πŸ’™[/p][p]πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™[/p][p][br][/p][p]Andy Bagnall - Best Friend[/p][p]On the 27th August 2019, tragedy struck which left a huge hole in so many people's lives. Luke was like a brother to me and I miss him greatly. His amazing family have campaigned to get ' Docbike' up and running in Staffordshire which is an amazing charity and now we have a bike ready to go we need to ensure this is funded and we can help raise as much money as we can and be inspired by the loving, witty, jokey person that was Luke, who I know would be so proud of what is being achievedπŸ’™[/p][p]This is for you brother πŸ’™[/p][p][br][/p][p]Please share with everyone possible[/p][p]Thanks Again[/p][p][br][/p][p]πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™[/p][p][br][/p][p]Katie-Lou - Luke's Sister[/p][p]Do this challenge with us they said. It will be fun they said.[/p][p] 100,000 steps in a day. [/p][p] Raising money for DocBike Staffs in memory of my brother, Luke Van De Sande.[/p][p] Please give as much or as little as you can, or if you are unable to give at all spread the word about DocBike to the next person you speak to. [/p][p] I always thought the youngest sibling is meant to be the most annoying. No Luke definitley won that one. Although he was a man of few words, his actions spoke a thousand of those. You think of your siblings as just that, but on 27/08/2019 when Luke lost his life that changed for me. It made me realise just how many lives he touched and changed. He was a special man not only to me and the rest of the family but to all his friends too. A true inspiration of how to live life. Live it to the full everyday.[/p][p] I miss you more each day, but i look up to you and im proud of you and everything you achieved and continue to achieve with your legacy.[/p][p] [/p][p] Love Egg Nose (your little sister) x[/p][p]πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™[/p][p][br][/p][p]Abbie - Luke's wife[/p][p]Raising money for my wonderful husband,Luke Van De Sande. A year ago I lost the light of my life, my beautiful brown eyed boy! My sidekick since high-school, you knew how to make everyone laugh. Life will never be the same again, so I'm doing this for you and to raise money and awareness for an incredible reason. If Docbike can save one family your legacy is complete. I'm sure you'll be laughing your head off at the thought of me walking 100,00 steps. You of all people know how much I complain when people make me walk! [/p][p]Love you Bobble face,I always will xxx[/p][p]πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™[/p][p][br][/p][p]Jack ( an unknown friend ), [/p][p]I am proud to do this charity event for Luke, even though I never met him, I’ve heard great things about him. It is an honour to do this and I am proud to say he would have been a good friend if we ever met. [/p]
