[p][b] Cycling 200 Miles in a Day , Morecambe/ Redcar / Morecambe . [/b][/p][p] On the 24th July 8riders from Lune RCC , will set out to cross England from Coast to Coast and return back again in a single day ride to raise money for 4 charities close to the riders hearts . Jack Baxter , Ian Breslin , Chris Didsbury , Jon Linscott, Rich Mellon , Andy Murphy , Simon Mumford and Andrew White will set out from the Clocktower on Morecambe prom at 5am hoping to return home sometime in the evening the same day . We would love it if you could support us by donating to this page no matter how big or small , it will really spur us on if we know we are raising money for these great causes .[/p][p]Lancaster Special Baby Care Unit (Bay Hospitals Charity)[/p][p]Andy writes, [/p][p]My wife Janice had twin boys that were 10 weeks premature. Sadly, one of our sons died at 9 days old. Our other son Damon spent 10 weeks in Lancaster Royal Infirmary special baby care unit where the staff were amazing, caring andfantastic. Our Lune Racing Cycling Team are very privileged to have Damon driving the support vehicle with Janice forming part of the extended team. [/p][p]I am doing this ride in memory of our son Joshua DanielMurphy.[/p][p]THE BRAIN TUMOUR CHARITY[/p][p]Jon writes [/p][p]“ Research into brain tumours is woefully underfunded . Survival rates are just 11% and treatments haven’t changed in 40years , having lost my eldest Brother Ben to a brain tumour a couple of years back I’m raising money for this great cause in his memory .[/p][p]THE ME ASSOCIATION [/p][p]Jack writes[/p][p]“ I have seen first hand how devastating ME is and how it affects all aspects of life . [/p][p]The ME Association do fabulous work into improving the lives of sufferers. Hopefully bringing some normality back into peoples lives and searching for a cure .[/p][p]PARKINSONS UK[/p][p]Ian writes [/p][p]“ my Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 5 years ago and I’ve watched as this terrible disease has slowly robbed him of his mobility . Parkinson’s UK give amazing support to sufferers and fund research into a cure .[/p]
