My story

[p]Thank so much for all your support the countdown is on for tomorrow I'm looking forward to the challenge- still working towards that fundraising target so please do continue donating! [/p][p]You can track my progress with my running number: 41382[/p][p]More on my story below....[/p][p]Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, this is where it all happens, you can sponsor me from here- all donations will be processed by Virgin Money Giving and passed directly to The London Community Foundation (my chosen charity) including claiming gift aid where eligible- that means more cash goes directly to the great causes LCF supports! Every single penny counts but most of all thank you in advance for in kind, in cash and in spirit support- this is my equivalent of climbing Everest- (Eeek!). [/p][p]So I really did it this time... I've had some random 'adventures' along the years, including skydiving from 13,000ft, random solo holidays, romance on a tropical island, a trek to the summit of a live volcano and now I'm signed up to run 26.2 miles through the streets of London (in 43 days and counting!) I smile as I write this as the normal reaction to one of my 'adventures' is usually incredulity at the perceived absurdity of it all (usually my mum's primary reaction). However, I was inspired at an early age by my French tutor no less, she was such a passionate person and instilled the idea that we are only limited by what we perceive to be our limitations and so each tick against an item on my bucket list is a testament to that mantra- life is for living afterall.[/p][p]Along with my penchant for random adventures, I love the idea that great things can be achieved when people work together, and the ethos of philanthropy. I think giving back in whatever measure, is a great thing to do we all need a helping hand at some point in our lives, some of us are fortunate to have a support network that can help, others rely on the often selfless efforts of others which is why I felt The London Community Foundation was a good choice of charity to support. Pls do have a look at some of the stories if you have a moment it's really inspiring.[/p][p]So now you have a sense of the 'who' and an idea of the 'why', I hope you'll join me on the journey to the finish line, I shall be sharing updates on my progress on Facebook and Twitter (I'm sure some of my musings will make you chuckle) I've made it to week 11 of the 17 week training plan and still standing soooo.... roll on Sunday 26th April 2015![/p][p]xM[/p]
