Team story

[p]Hi. The Mad Syclists are Ruth Walker and Vicky Seville, cycling for friends and loved ones living with the impact of MS - we are cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats, without any support, starting 11th June 2019 (see itinerary below). All donations will go to the MS Worcester and District group. They really do need your help.[/p][p]Our Plan ...to survive ..:)[/p][p]The route is about 1,000 miles and we aim to do it in 15 days, carrying our own gear too! We will be posting regular updates on social media but if you live along our route come and say hi. We will also accept chocolate :) and Vicky loves custard creams :)[/p][p]We are training at least twice a week, ensuring we eat plenty of cakes as we soak up the miles.[/p][p]Below is our intended route...if you see us please stop us and say hello..or make a donation on route [/p][p]11/6 Land's End-Fowey[/p][p]12/6 Exeter[/p][p]13/6 Bridgewater[/p][p]14/6 Monmouth[/p][p]15/6 Church Stretton[/p][p]16/6 Chester[/p][p]17/6 Garstang[/p][p]18/6 Patterdale[/p][p]19/6 Moffatt[/p][p]20/6 Dumbarton[/p][p]21/6 Glencoe[/p][p]22/6 Foyers[/p][p]23/6 Invershin[/p][p]24/6 Betty Hill[/p][p]25/6 JOHN O GROATS[/p][p]There are so many worthy causes, why support this one? Some facts about MS first: [/p][p]Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged, and this causes a range of symptoms.[/p][p]Once diagnosed, MS stays with you for life, but treatments and specialists can help you to manage the condition and its symptoms.[/p][p]More than 100,000 people in the UK have MS. In the UK, people are most likely to find out they have MS in their thirties, forties and fifties. But the first signs of MS often start years earlier. [/p][p]Thank you[/p][p]Ruth & Vicky[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
