My story

[p]No hype, no gimmicks. Crisis at Christmas Edinburgh is a charity I stand behind 100%. November, 5 years ago i moved to Edinburgh. Christmas was around the corner. I had no pals in Scotland yet, didn't have money to fly home to California and didn't want to be a bother to anyone in Ireland where i have great friends.. but still, i googled 'volunteer xmas edinburgh'. The very first result was Crisis at Christmas. I clicked to the site and the first thing i read was ''Barber Needed''. The application process was basic and i was approved the same day. [/p][p] Jovial, coffee fueled volunteers met me on that Christmas Day with smiles and Christmas greetings. I wasted no time in setting up the Barbershop. Stacked in the corner were donations from salons, salon suppliers and barbershops from all over the UK. Combs, products, clippers, scissors.. everything. Thousands of pounds worth of donated supplies. Next to my station were a pair of doctors checking peoples feet. Supplying fresh socks and shoes to everyone who visited them. I saw their donated supplies. I liked it.[/p][p] Food was served all day. Everyone was Eating. Almost 400 people came through on that Christmas day alone. Crisis at Christmas runs for 2 weeks. This charity helps people at the street level, right now. Instantly. I see where the money goes. I've seen where the donations go. This is a good thing that works. ''Together we can end homelessness''.[/p][p]On this, my 5th year of service, help me raise some real money for this amazing organization.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Donate the cost of a pint to my cause. Buy me a 'drink' on Christmas Day while i cut hair for our homeless brothers and sisters. [/p]
