My story

[p]Following our charity event in 2016, riding from Lands End to John O'Groats on a Vespa scooter and climbing the National Three Peaks on the way up, over a weekend, we decided it was time for something else and to more than double the £3,500 raised.[/p][p]Therefore training has begun for RideLondon on the 4th August and then the hard one, riding the three climbs up Mont Ventoux in under 12 hours on 19th September.[/p][p]The goal is to raise £10,000, split equally between the three chosen charities.[/p][p]Ride High have been good enough to provide me with a place on the RideLondon and the opportunity to ride the 100 miles, 2012 Olympic course on closed roads. It is also the chosen charity of our good friend and mentor, Gary.[/p][p]Mont Ventoux is a challenge I saw completed by paralympian David Smith MBE, an incredible man with a rowing gold medal to his name and who completed Mont Ventoux six months after major surgery. [/p][p]Cancer is too close to many of us and therefore Cancer Research is another of the charities who will receive a third of the raised funds.[/p][p]The final third will go to Thames Valley Air Ambulance. We saw first-hand the benefits of the Air Ambulance team when one of our friends was hit whilst out riding. Their swift response and the actions of other friends around him. without a doubt saved his life.[/p][p]Please support these three special charities and I’ll make sure I make my legs suffer and complete both challenges in their names.[/p][p]Many thanks[/p][p]Mark[/p]

Great work Mark. You're an inspiration to us all who need comfy seats and big horse power to get us out of our arm chairs.
