Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. On the 23rd of April 2017 I will attempt to run my first marathon for the Barchester Foundation. Back in Ocotber last year I entered a ballot to win a place in the marathon never did I think I would win that place. So here we are I am ready for the race of my life well may be not just yet but in 11 weeks I will be. Please read through the following paragraphs to understand the work the Foundation does to help people.[/p][p]I’ll be running the London Marathon for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, a charity linked to the company I work for. The charity helps older people and other adults living with a disability in England, Scotland and Wales, focusing on connecting them with others in their community, combating loneliness and social isolation. You can read more about who and how they help on their website www.bhcfoundation.org.uk or follow them on Facebook.[/p][p] The charity was over the moon having final been given a place at the London Marathon after many years of waiting, and with another five year wait till they get the next one, I’m really hoping to raise a fantastic amount from being their first ever London Marathon runner.[/p][p]Much Love Mark xxxx[/p]
