Team story

[p]Thanks for visiting Martin and Rob's fundraising page.[/p][p]Yes that's right we're running the 2019 London Marathon on Sunday 28th April 2019 in aid of the Child Victims of Crime .[/p][p]As you know neither of us are naturally gifted runners. What we lack in natural ability we will make up with determination, effort and a lot of sweat.[/p][p]We appreciate all your support and we will be updating the page with our training progress. [/p][p]Robs January training progress[/p][p]It’s been a cold month, wrapping up warm for the runs in 1 or 2° with snow about. The training is a little behind plan with Weather, work and life but my January training miles totalled 85. [/p][p]I hope the weather is kind for the month ahead , although some snow runs look possible, that will be fun ! Now to get my achy legs sorted with a sports massage.[/p][p]Robs February training progress[/p][p]Apart from being unable to run for 13 days this month due to the flu, I managed to clock up a total of 69 miles . Including a 14 mile run and a hilly 17 mile run ! After a couple of days of rest I have even rediscovered my legs again. [/p][p]I can't believe it's March already with the Marathon looming up next month. [/p][p]March will be a busy month runs currently include an 18 miler , 20 miler and half Marathon. Let hope I get to April in one piece .[/p][p]Robs March training progress[/p][p]Well March zoomed by , and over 120 miles clocked up and a nice hoody too.[/p][p]Cant believe the marathon is this month. [/p][p]My legs feel like they’ve already done a marathon. Well one more 20 mile run to do and then some well earned rest until the big day.[/p][p]Thanks for everyone’s support . [/p][p]The charity Embrace CVOC aim is to provide practical and emotional support for any young victim who has been a victim of, or traumatised by any criminal offence committed in the UK.
