My story

[p]Mountains in Scotland over the height of 3,000 feet (914.4m) are termed Munros and the pastime of climbing them is called Munro-bagging. There are 282 Munros in Scotland. Bagging them all is well beyond me, but having moved to the Torridon area recently, I aim to summit the six Munros in Torridon this summer to raise funds for The Glacier Trust (TGT). TGT works with vulnerable rural communities in Nepal enabling them to adapt to the impacts of climate change. Having visited their project in Deusa in the Solu Khumbu last year and seen the effectiveness of the community led initiative I am keen to raise funds to support their work there.[/p][p]The Munros I aim to bag between June and mid October are:[/p][p]Spidean a’Choire Leith (Liatach) 1055m[/p][p]Mullah an Rathain (Liatach) 1023m[/p][p]Ruadh-stac Mor (Beinn Eighe) 1010m[/p][p]Spidean Coire nan Clach (Beinn Eighe) 993m[/p][p]Sgurr Mor (Beinn Alligin) 986m[/p][p]Tom na Gruagaich (Ben Alligin) 922m[/p]
