My story

[p]Hello, I'm Matthew. I'm married with a five year old daughter. Following a traumatic birth, my wife was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. And some years ago, a close friend was affected by postnatal depression, and Acacia were instrumental in supporting the family. These experiences made me more aware of the struggles new parents can face. I am honoured to be able to run the London Marathon for Acacia and hope to raise a ton of money for them, but also to raise awareness of the services they can provide to families affected by PND. [/p][p][br][/p][p]I've been running for about 7 years now, and I have been inspired by friends who have gone the extra mile and pushed the boundaries of what they once thought might be possible. A good friend who inspired me to run in the first place ran the London Marathon a couple of years ago and ever since then, running a marathon has always been in the back of my mind to do before I get too old! Last year's Virtual London Marathon was a good indicator of what it's like to do the distance, but I can't wait to run on the streets of London with everyone else.[/p]
