[p]This year I'll be taking part in a number of challenges to raise money for The Outward Bound Trust. I've been fortunate to see first hand how Outward Bound can have a positive impact on people's lives, introducing children to the true outdoors, teaching them vital life skills and giving them memorable, unforgettable experiences in stunning locations. Please sponsor me for this worthy cause as I aim to complete these challenges throughout 2019 - [/p][p]May: Three Peaks Challenge - I'll be part of the Hellios team attempting to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest peaks in the UK.[/p][p]June: Otillo Swim Run Isles of Scilly - As one half of a two man team we will be running and swimming our way around the Scilly Isles. A beautiful but harsh environment with lots of tough trail runs and lots of open ocean swimming. Running in our wetsuits and swimming in our trainers. This one is gonna hurt![/p][p]July: Race to the Stones - This non-stop 100km trail run/jog/crawl starts in the Chilterns and follows the oldest trail in England to the finish line in Avebury. Yikes![/p][p]September/October: 3 half marathons over 3 consecutive weekends, starting with the Blenheim half marathon, then off to my home county Wiltshire to take part in the notoriously tough Clarendon trail half marathon before completing the Manchester half marathon.[/p][p]October: Into my 4th consecutive race in as many weekends i thought it'd be rude not to sign up to the Abingdon marathon seeing as the route passes my house![/p][p]November: To finish the year off I am heading to Italy to take part in the Florence Marathon. [/p][p]I'll be following the mantra of the great Dean Karnazes - "Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up."[/p]
