Michael Carden: fundraising for Sierra Leone

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far....yesterday was an amazing experience, the crowds were unbelievable and everybody's generosity with my fundraising really did help get me round. It's all going to a fantastic cause (see below) so thank you so much. If you're visiting this page for the first time, it's not too late to donate, and will all go to our amazing team in Sierra Leone.[/p][p][b]£2,500 goes a long way in Sierra Leone.[/b][/p][p]I am running the London Marathon to raise money for King's Sierra Leone Partnership, an amazing partnership project helping to build a strong and sustainable health system in Sierra Leone, one of the world's poorest countries. Or it could go towards one of the exciting improvement projects the team are supporting such as the redevelopment of the A&E department or the new TB clinic at Connaught Hospital.[/p][p]Either way, whatever money you are able to donate will have a direct impact on the care of a patient who really needs it. Ebola may be gone, but Sierra Leone still has high levels of other dangerous diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, HIV, liver disease and malaria. [/p][p]Thank you so much. I best start running!
