My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations. [/p][p][span=font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; font-size: 7.5pt;]Meningitis Now is an organisation very close to my heart. Just over 2 years ago my youngest daughter, Daisie, contracted group B bacterial meningoccal septicaemia. Thankfully, Daisie's mum recognised there was something seriously wrong in the very early stages of the illness when everybody else (me!) thought she just needed a dose of calpol. Sharon's insistence on an immediate hospital visit probably saved Daisie's life. Because of the excellent and immediate treatment she received, Daisie has made a full recovery with no side effects. We are so lucky but so many others are not. I'd like to help those not so fortunate as myself and my family and raise as much money as possible for Meningitis Now....its a wonderful organisation that helps so many families who have to live each day coping with the tragic cosequences that Meningitis can bring with it. I dont need to tell you how awful Meningitis is....you hear, see and read stories every week about its devastating effects.[/span][/p][p][span=font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; font-size: 7.5pt;]I've been lucky enough to be selected by the charity to run on their behalf in this years London Marathon and will do my absolute best to complete it as quickly as possible and raise as much money as I can. I hope you can help me reach my targets and make a donation to this very worthy organisation. Thank you so much - Michael[/span][/p]
