My story

[p]Running has been my therapy since 2010 when I went through my divorce. It gave me time to think and reflect, to work out problems and find solutions. Running released endorphins and makes me more energetic and happy and a determination to improve myself everyday.[/p][p]Through out my running journey I have not gone without injury in one form or another and have been a frequent visitor at the Queen Victoria Hospital . Here I have always had excellent patient care.[/p][p]I now work at the Queen Vic in the theaters department and I have witnessed first hand the incredible work that is carried out across the different specialities and how it has transformed people's lives. Providing life changing reconstructive surgery for people across the South East as well as the dedicated local community. The funding that the QVH receives funds important initiatives like medical research projects to find new treatments, provide more and better equipment as well as improving patient environment.[/p][p]Every day the hospital provides life-changing surgery and care, free of charge to every NHS patient who needs them. The QVH world-leading clinical teams also treat common conditions of the hands, eyes, skin and teeth for people of East Grinstead and the surrounding areas. In addition they provide a minor injuries unit, expert therapy and a sleep service.[/p][p]Running for the Queen Victoria Hospital will give me a sense of purpose, the motivation to train and the chance to achieve one of my own personal goals. It will also give me the opportunity to put my running to good use and raise all import funds for an OUTSTANDING hospital. Raising this money will enable the Queen Victoria Hospital and its staff to carry on providing the highest quality care to patients and their families.[/p][p]Running has always provided me with respite, enabling me to better the quality of life for both myself and my children. I want to use my ability to run to raise money for an institution such as the Queen Victoria Hospital, that rebuilds life as running has done for me. [/p][p]Please help me reach my fun raising target for the QVH[/p]
