Team story

[p]WE DID IT!![/p][p]983 Miles. 9 Days. 55000 Feet.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Matt & Mike are riding the length of Britain, 1000 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats.[/p][p]That’s over 100 miles every day for 9 days. [/p][p]One has a dodgy back and the other has legs on backwards. They need your support.[/p][p]We are lifelong friends that both grew up in Barry, South Wales and while we were surrounded by a network of incredibly supportive friends and family, we know that many around us in Barry, like pretty much every other location in the UK, did not have that same luxury. So many young people don’t get the breaks in life we had and endure hardship very much out of their control. The countless occasions we have relied on our support network have each presented a risk that could have found ourselves out of our depth and with nobody to turn to. Without the support of our friends and family, I've no doubt that we could easily have ended up in a dire situation.[/p][p]We have also just recently turned 50 - so this ride is also a bucket list item for a pair of cranky old MAMILs! - and being this age gives us good perspective on how fortunate we have been in life so, with your support, we want to give something back.[/p][p]We are riding for the Princes Trust to help support as many young people as possible to escape their situation and give them the life they deserve, and ultimately, giving the community the people it needs. The Princes Trust do a fantastic job in supporting young people across Britain in a variety of ways. Please take a few minutes to look at some of their success stories here: https://www.princes-trust.org.uk/about-the-trust/success-stories[/p][p]I really hope you can help us to meet our goal on our 9 day, 1000 mile journey by donating towards to our combined target of £5000. [/p][p]Many thanks for making a difference![/p]
