My story

[p]“We’ve only gone and done it!!”[/p][p]Two world records achieved! A hugely emotional, physical challenge that’s left us all a bit worse for wear but an amazing team of people persevered until the end.. Thank you everyone who made the dark days a bit brighter. [/p][p]As my mid-life crisis continues, I thought I would take it to new heights! In April 2019 I will attempt (with a team of 30) to play the highest game of rugby ever played. Where? Only Everest! [/p][p]The aim is to attempt two Guinness Book of records and play the;[/p][p]Highest altitude game of full contact and mixed touch Sevens rugby at 6,500m - Everest advance base camp.[/p][p]This is the worlds highest trek on an established trail. [/p][p]My passion for rugby and this amazing charity will make the pain and training worthwhile. [/p][p]The Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. It funds life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.[/p][p]Their vision is that every child and young person, no matter what their background, has access to the same opportunities.[/p][p]They fund a range of projects including sensory rooms and gardens, playgrounds and outdoor activities, education projects, specialist equipment and facilities and health and well being programmes.[/p][p]woodenspoon.org.uk.[/p][p][br][/p]
