Team story

[p]Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Mohan Sharma, Keshav Dahal and Anjana Dahal have joined hands to help raise 💰 money towards Parents Care Home in Kathmandu. Please continue to read our story and regular updates...[/p][p]I have always loved challenge in life and the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek in Nepal is definitely one from my bucket list.I signed upt to climb ABC back in November last year when I read about it in one of the newsletter received through HSBC Health and Wellbeing. [/p][p]I will be flying out of Glasgow on 9th November, joining the team on 16th November and will be climbing upto a maximum altitude of 4130 meters in total and finishes on 1st of December. On an average I will be walking between 6-9 hours every day and mostly in sub zero temperature which can dip upto -30 C during night time.[/p][p]I had originally planned the trek as a personal challenge and the idea of charity and fundraising was an afterthought. My family originally comes from Nepal and I had always wanted to do something to help a local charity. While discussing with my friend, Mr. Keshav Dahal I decided to do fundraising for SAVE-UK, a Glasgow based organization working in various projects in South Asia but more specifically in Nepal. Entire money raised will go towards helping Parents Care Home in Kathmandu. This home looks after and cares for the vulnerable elderly people.[/p][p]Mr. Keshav Dahal and his wife Mrs. Anjana Dahal came forward to help me in this noble cause and they decided to do the ABC trek on their own in October of this year. So, we are now working as a TEAM to practise for the summit as well as all our fundraising initiatives.[/p]
