My story

[p]In March 2011, aged 34, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Mine was a rare type that was caught early, and I was a good candidate for surgery. I was lucky. They removed half of my left lung, but I was cured. Too many people don't get that chance.[/p][p]Things are getting better for people facing the same diagnosis as I did... but there's still a long way to go, and at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the UK's only lung cancer charity, they're working hard to get there. And I want to help.[/p][p]So on August 23rd 2022 I shall head out from Lands End on my bike, and 12 days and 1000 miles later I'll (hopefully) be arriving in John O'Groats.[/p][p]There's some more info about all of this over on my blog, and I'll be keeping it updated with the preparations before the big day, and the ride as it happens. So please head over and have a look at https://myleftlung.com :)[/p]
