My story

[p]My story[/p][p]Helen says : ‘from the first day I came to NDRC I felt happy and welcome. It was like my life started to open again. Every time I come and see an advisor my immigration case is improving’.[/p][p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2019 London Legal sponsored walk.[/p][p]all funds donated on this page will be passed to NDRC without deduction. [/p][p]Our team so far is: Sarah Hughes, Franklin Boitier (with more to follow).[/p][p]Our Centre desperately needs funding to support vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees. We continue to see large numbers of people, many of whom are destitute, at our Drop In cafes. We offer a warm welcome, food and beverages, and clothing. All visitors benefit from the specialised advice that we are able to offer.[/p][p]Many of our visitors are from countries ravaged by war and political conflict. We have, up to now, specialised in advice for French-speaking asylum seekers and refugees: the majority have come from the Democratic Republic of Congo. But we are now seeing increasing numbers from elsewhere: the closure of many small, specialised advice centres due to funding cuts has contributed to this increased demand for our services.[/p][p]The funds raised through this page will go towards providing a whole range of advice to some of the most disadvantaged people in London and to maintaining our full programme of support services and activities. To find out more, visit www.notredamerc.org.uk. Please do sponsor the team![/p][p]We very much appreciate all your support and thank you for your donations.[/p][p]Many thanks for your support[/p]
