Team story

[p]Hi, and thank you for visiting our fund-raising page.[/p][p]We're cycling the Way of the Roses Coast 2 Coast route from 11th to 15th July.  That's 170 miles in 5 days.  It'll actually be a little bit longer than that, because we're camping overnight, so there will be a few detours to reach the camp sites. (Hopefully the detours will be downhill all the way!)[/p][p]There are 28 of us doing it, all Y9 and Y10 students, and we're all really excited about it, albeit a bit nervous.  There are also 5 teachers coming with us, to make sure we stay on track, wipe the blood off our knees if we crash, etc. But hopefully we won't be needing any of that ...[/p][p]We'll be updating the NHGS C2C blog from now until we finish. So you'll be able to follow our progress whilst we prepare for the trip and then whilst we're en route.[/p][p]We're doing this to raise a bit of money to go towards kitting out the new sports hall with gym equipment, etc., or whatever the School's needs will be at that time. So please be generous. It will all go towards improving the already brilliant time we're having at NHGS.[/p][p]We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]Link to the ride official site[/p][p][span=margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 14pt;] [/span][/p][p] [lt]span[gt] [lt]/span[gt][/p][p]As this is a Virgin Money Giving page, your donations will be quickly processed and passed to the School via the Parents' Association (which is a registered charity and therefore able to collect your donations on our behalf). Virgin Money Giving itself is a not for profit organisation. Even better, it will claim Gift Aid on the PA's behalf where the donor is eligible for this, and pass this on to the PA in full. So your donations will automatically be bumped up by a further 25%. Now isn't that something else![/p]
