My story

[p]In July of this year, my Dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had one of them urgently removed at Guys hospital in London. Prior to this, he showed no symptoms and lived a healthy and adventurous lifestyle.[/p][p] He endured numerous different treatments but the cancer was too aggressive and after fighting to the very end, he sadly lost his battle on the 8th January 2020. All of his family were by his side during his last moments and the last words he said to me which will stay with me for the rest of my life were “stay positive”. Words to live by for sure and this was the mentality he carried with him all of his life despite heartbreak and obstacles. It’s so difficult not to be angry at life for being so cruel but this would be the last thing he wanted. [/p][p][br][/p][p]When I told my Dad that I’d got a place in the London marathon it brought him to tears so being able to run this in memory of my Dad is so poignant to me and I know I will do him proud. [/p][p]Any donations, however big or small are appreciated in ways I cannot explain. [/p][p]Love to you all [/p]
