My story

[p]I'm competeing in the Clipper Round the World 13-14 Yacht Race, not only because there is an ocean to be crossed, but also to raise money for two great charities:[/p][ul][li]RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution[/li][li]Cancer Research UK.[/li][/ul][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p]I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p][/p][p]Late in 2011 I decided to apply to a leg of the Clipper Round The World 13-14 Yacht Race![/p][p][lt]br /[gt]This is something I have toyed with doing over a number of years since from around 2004 and until recently never considered it seriously. Then a chance conversation with a friend and the fact that the 2013-2014 will coincide with my 50th birthday led me to look at it more seriously leading me to apply, and ultimately gain a place on Leg 1.[/p][p][lt]br /[gt]Since siging on for Leg 1 I have subsequently added Leg (Rio to Capetown) and Leg 3 (Capetown to Western Australia).[/p][p]Full details of the challenge can be found on my blog site:[/p][p]http://clipper-blog.jadexsolutions.co.uk[/p]
