My story

[p]I have lived in the Great Yarmouth area since 1998 and have two daughters who now live in Melbourne, I became a keen runner when my eldest daughter took part in the 2014 London Marathon inspired and a little envious of her achievement I was determined to run at least one marathon before my 60th birthday which is May this year and I was lucky enough ( after years of trying) to get a ballot place in the 40th running of the VLM London Marathon, I’m currently trying hard and I’m making good progress, I’m aiming to run the Norwich Half on 6th April as a warm up for London. Not only now can I realise my ambition but can fund raise for a charity which will benefit the local community. I choose to fund raise for the East Coast Hospice having learned there’s no palliative care beds in our area and feel it is crucial that those with end of life illnesses have somewhere to stay in comfort and peace with there families at this difficult time, I admire the dedication of this charity who are determined to provide this service for Great Yarmouth and Waveney. With your support we can help them ‘Raise the roof’.[/p]
