My story

[p]Well its happening... the Newbury's are running our first (and last) London Marathon![/p][p]The story started in Jan 2018, as Joe's very good friend Faye started training for the Marathon in April of that year. She completed the 26.2 miles in very testing conditions, and inspired us to run in with her in 2019![/p][p]We're running for Retina UK, a charity that supports people affected by progressive sight loss. Faye's son, and thousands of others, have been greatly helped by the work that Retina UK are doing, and we're so proud to be able to put on our Retina Shirt on race day.[/p][p]Those of you that have seen us over the years will know that we have most definitely let ourselves go (one of our uni mates described one of us as a walking squash ball!). That coupled with our extremely short legs will mean that this most certainly will be the toughest thing we've ever done.[/p][p]Any donation will be so greatly appreciated, so please do dig deep.[/p][p]Thanks for reading & see you on the finish line.[/p]
