North through Nicaragua

[p]Earlier this year I did a virtual sponsored walk through Nicaragua on my treadmill, reaching the southern border with Costa Rica, and now I'm returning to tackle the north of Nicaragua! My virtual walk this time starts in the capital of Managua and follows the Pan-American Highway north to the border with Honduras - a total of 148 miles. [/p][p]I'll be on my treadmill for two hours each day from November 1st to November 25th. Every week Dr Sandra and her team of nurses bring everyday healthcare to rural communities on the volcanic island of Ometepe, in Lake Nicaragua. It's the kind of health service that we value here in the UK, and it really makes a difference to the lives of the poor.
