[p]I, Nilufer, am a senior research fellow at the Oxford University, where we work on understanding the causal genetic and environmental factors of women’s health conditions with substantial public health impact, in particular endometriosis and related conditions. I'm running the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) 5K happening on 2nd July, during the annual meeting in Barcelona to support Cyprus Women’s Health Research (COHERE) Initiative.[/p][p]The Oxford University led COHERE Initiative aims to establish a women’s health cohort in Northern Cyprus, to collect vital health and morbidity data, and investigate factors affecting women’s health and care seeking patterns in this emerging eastern mediterranean population. We aim to conduct a population-based, cross-sectional study targeting 10% of all women aged 18-55 (N=8000) living in Northern Cyprus and so far reached 1500 women. It will promote evidence-based reproductive medicine in the region, not only benefiting the local population but also providing a basis for an Eastern-Mediterranean women’s health resource. [/p][p]This project is supported by donations. Donating through Virgin Money Giving is simple, fast and secure. You can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to University of Oxford. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the charity's behalf. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]You can find more information on the project here (English and Turkish): [/p][p]www.kisaainisiyatifi.org[/p][p]www.cohereinitiative.org[/p][p]https://www.wrh.ox.ac.uk/study/research-degrees/find-a-project/cyprus-womens-health-research-cohere-initiative[/p][p]www.facebook.com/KISAAInisiyatifi[/p]
