Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to our choosen charity, Rape Crisis England and Wales. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]From a young age, we are told if a boy is rude to us, or calls us names it means that they like us.[/p][p]From our teenage years, we would walk down the road and men may beep their horns and shout inappropriate things. But once again we are told that it means they like us.[/p][p]We learn from a young age that if a stranger follows us, we cross the road, and if a stranger grabs us, we scream.[/p][p]Its something we have to learn, not choose to learn, because as females we are often not seen as a person, we seen as sexual objects.[/p][p]By the time we have left school, we may have been called a slag and shown no respect from some male's, because they are trying to impress their mates. [/p][p]How come alcohol excuses him from his actions, but do not condone mine? People asume that we probably wanted it.[/p][p]Is it right that society teaches us 'dont get raped', RATHER than 'DONT RAPE?'[/p][p]If you have been a victim of sexual violence, the money we raise goes towards the chairty, Rape Crisis England and Wales, who support victims and raise awareness for this crime. I would like you to know that you are not alone, and there are people out there who are willing and wanting to help you get through this! Male's and female's are both victims of sexual violence, and we believe people need to become more aware of this! [/p]
