My story

[p]This Christmas, say no to rubbish Secret Santa gifts! Instead, make a Christmas wish come true for someone supported in social care – and make a gesture that your loved ones will remember forever. [/p][p]‘The No Secret Santa Secret Santa’ campaign is led by one of one of Britain’s biggest social care charities, Community Integrated Care. It asks people to donate the money they would have spent on trivial gifts to instead help people who are impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic in social care.[/p][p]When you donate, the charity will send a Christmas card or branded email to the person you are making the donation on behalf of, letting them know that you made a donation in their name and the difference that it made. This means that you get to give two surprises for the price of one – giving a heart-warming gift to your loved one and also surprising a stranger, who needs your support at this tough time. [/p][p]Donations are suggested to start at £10 per person, but in these challenging times people are just encouraged to give what they feel able to – be that a smaller or larger amount. [/p][p]The money raised from this campaign will purchase Christmas presents for people supported, who do not have active family members in their lives to give them a gift. If we raise £10,000 we can give 200 gifts worth £50 to people who otherwise might have had a quieter Christmas.[/p][p]It will also fund a range of seasonal activities for the people across the UK care sector to enjoy – from virtual Santa visits to Christmas cookery classes, and even a Christmas mass and carol service.[/p][p]Please note: After donating, please email sharing full contact details of the person you would like us to send your card or email to, so we can send them their ‘No Secret Santa Secret Santa’ surprise! [/p]

Given in thanks for all the hard work and efforts by all those working at CIC during this very difficult time to help support our families in care. It's lovely to see that they go the extra mile for those who don't have a lot of family at Christmas.
