My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our fundraising page for the 2019 London Legal Walk.[/p][p]The funds raised will go towards our Welfare Rights Team who help highly vulnerable clients with the most complex benefits tribunal and appeals work. The vast majority of these clients are facing disabilities or long term health conditions and find the benefits applications process confusing and frustrating. Our Welfare Rights Team prepare people for tribunals and represent those that cannot do so themselves and where the case is highly technical. The Team have a very high (90%) success rate on representation. Their services are in high and continuing demand.[/p][p]Our walking team: Sian Hiller, Maria Coe, Helen Berkerson, Carol Hunt, Jacqui Corrall, Paul Austin[/p][p]CANWK provides free, confidential and impartial advice and campaign on big issues affecting people's lives. Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. We're an independent charity and part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales.[/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.[/p][p]All funds received by LLST though this page will be donated to Citizens Advice in North & West Kent without deduction.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
