Virgin Money - not the -London Marathon 2020

[p]No London marathon, no worries! [/p][p]It's time for the inaugural 2.6 hour Podington Plod. Instead of joining tens of thousands in London I will be complying with social distancing guidelines and running close to home. It's a 10am start on 26th April with Harley in harness for a one hour tour of the countryside (with poo bags, for Harley!), then home and an hour on the indoor treadmill followed by 36minutes doing laps of the garden. I collapse in a heap at 12:36pm precisely.[/p][p]Your support for this 2.6 challenge is amazing - thanks so much. Read below for more about this charity and why it's important to me.[/p][p]We are Northampton Mencap. We provide a social centre for people with learning disabilities to meet, interact and develop. We aim to enhance and improve significantly the well being of people with learning disabilities in Northampton. We work together to foster stronger relationships and improve health, competence, choice, respect and inclusion in community life.[/p][p]As a charity with no regular source of funding we rely entirely on donations and our enthusiastic, hard working volunteers and trustees to continue to deliver our long term commitment to our community.[/p][p]Paul is one of our volunteers and trustees, he is in training to run the London marathon in 2020.
